Swell de Spirits was created in 2021 by Michael Barbaria. His bottlings are the result of a meticulous selection of exceptional casks in collaboration with each producer, to which he pays homage by succeeding in captivating the most discerning taste buds of enlightened connoisseurs. Its bottles, with designs as original as the liquid they contain, make Swell de Spirits a key player on the independent scene.

Located in Saint-Pierre on Reunion Island, the Isautier distillery is one of the oldest on the island, founded in 1845 by brothers Louis and Charles Isautier. Thanks to its ideal location and favorable climate, the distillery uses mainly local sugar cane, ensuring consistent quality and a strong local imprint. Sugar cane is processed into rhum agricole from fresh cane juice, or into traditional rum from molasses. 

An old tradition has it that the first distillation of the season begins under the stars to bring good luck to the harvest. This custom, though less practiced today, is part of the distillery's cultural heritage.
