Founded in 1910, the Bielle distillery is perched high up on the island of Marie-Galante, nicknamed "the island of a hundred mills". Indeed, just a few decades ago, the distillery still used windmills to crush sugar cane, a traditional method that has left its mark on the island's history. These mills, characteristic of Marie-Galante, have contributed to the renown of its rums. 

Swell de Spirits was created in 2021 by Michael Barbaria. His bottlings are the result of a meticulous selection of exceptional barrels in collaboration with each producer, to which he pays tribute by successfully captivating the most discerning taste buds of enlightened connoisseurs. Its bottles, with designs as original as the liquid they contain, make Swell de Spirits a key player on the independent scene.
