The T.D.L (Trinidad Distillers Limited) distillery, also known as Angostura, is the only operational distillery in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, located on the outskirts of the capital, Port of Spain. It was founded in 1949, although rum production in Trinidad dates back to colonial times. Known worldwide for its famous Angostura Bitters, T.D.L produces mostly light Cuban-style rums. Here, The Roots offers you a T.D.L with a more powerful and gourmand style.
The Roots, founded by Joren and Pieter, is an independent bottler relatively new to the spirits scene, dedicated to discovering and showcasing the most distinctive and authentic spirits. These enthusiasts strive to reveal hidden treasures of distilleries, by offering unique bottlings with a magical and enchanting appearance. With limited production, The Roots makes no compromises: Quality always takes over quantity!
Like all "The Roots" productions, a non chillfiltered Rum with a natural color. Aged in an old Bourbon barrel, only 201 bottles were produced.
