Armorik whisky is produced by the Warenghem distillery, located in Lannion, Brittany. It was founded in 1900 by Léon Warenghem who initially produced herbal liqueurs. The transition to whisky took place in 1983 under the direction of Gilles Leizour but it was in 1998 that the Armorik brand was launched. Like agricultural rum with specifications to respect, Armorik has an IGP allowing it to use the name "Breton Whisky".
